harmoniouspixels | The Indigo Random Legacy (1.1)

Welcome back to the Indigo Random Legacy! It's been a hot minute, hasn't it? If you missed the first entry, you can find it HERE. But for now, you may have an idea of who this guy is based upon the title of this entry.

This guy is Skylar Sanders (he/him)! Honestly I can't remember much about him, and I can only navigate SimPE to a degree. What I do know and remember is that he is an Aquarius with a Romance/Pleasure aspiration working in the Slacker career. He has a turn on for brown hair, and obviously, is very gay. IIRC, his LTW probably had to do with woohooing or romancing a lot of sims. Unfortunately for him, he'll have to be content in Townie Limbo, given this generation's rolls. He'll be the [cishet simblr voice] baby daddy [back to normal voice] for Kendal.

However, so Dalton isn't completely left out, I also made him a partner! This is Kyle Flowers (he/him), a Taurus with a Pleasure/Fortune aspiration working in the Culinary career. I believe he also has a turn-on for brown hair, and is also very gay. LTW is probably something Pleasure-specific, most likely in regards to dating. Regardless, he too will be in Townie Limbo, so a lot of this is a moot point. Anyway, enough preamble. Back to the legacy lot!

We rejoin our dynamic duo eating... something. Is it cereal? Is it their burnt leftover mac and cheese? We may never know!

Kendal: Write these up quicker and you'll remember easier.

...Touché.

Dalton: Woah! Did you just do something?

Indeed I did!

The house is decorated now!

Promotion get!

Skylar walked by, and since Dalton was home first, I had him invite him in.

Kendal's climbing his career ladder fast, and is already a Patrol Officer!

Kendal: [internally] Oh he's hot.

Skylar: You know I do like a man in uniform...
Kendal: [is smitten]

Dalton: Why are you two--? You know, never mind. Just keep it down, okay?

~~And yes, as the tile of this update implies, there were chimes.~~

ACR really kicked in with these two, since they didn't get to at least crush level until Skylar was headed out.

And the next morning, the consequences of Kendal's hookup were starting to become apparent.

Kendal: Oh shit.

Kendal: Do you know if we have any ice cream?
Dalton: Ice cream?

Kendal: Yeah, for a float!
Dalton: I don't even think we have pop. Are you feeling alright? You never really want sweet things.
Kendal: Call it a craving.
Dalton: Craving? Does that mean?

Kendal: [gets nauseous]
Dalton: Ah, yes, of course you are. [also gains a cooking skill point]

The chance card, once again, turns out successful!

Kendal nabs a promotion to Desk Sargent, just in time for Pop #1.

Dalton also nabs a promotion! Since he wasn't as tired, I decided to send him out in hopes of meeting his future partner.

Dalton: Oh he's hot!

Glad to see Kendal and Dalton are just as useless when it comes to seeing cute guys.

However, he is able to get in some conversation...

...and a flirt in! He's taking it much more slow with Kyle than Kendal did with Skylar.

Unfortunately, Kyle got preyed on by the Unsavory Charlatan.

Unsavory Charlatan: [still being unsavory]
Kyle: Please leave me alone. You're scaring me.

Dalton had stayed so long that the game decided to generate for me an Evil Head Witch, and honestly? I love her.

Since he's only in his second trimester, I figured I'd let Kendal go into work for one day. However, this caused him to "double dip", since he got his PTO before he came back from work, which meant he got paid twice. It feels wrong, but hey, scam the system my guy.

Due to the nature of their schedules, Dalton hadn't seen his brother since before he popped.

Dalton: I think the baby is kicking!
Kendal: You got that right.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Pop #2!

Kendal: Are you ever going to open up that flower business you keep talking about?
Dalton: Yeah, soon! I'm feeling more confident in my arrangements now.

Is that safe?

Kendal: I'm not sure, but I need to make use of my maternity time!

(AKA I was going to have him use the machine at the Rec Center, but didn't realize that since I have a 5-day pregnancy mod, he can't leave the house at all in his third trimester, since the game assumes he's about to have the baby; despite another sim day to the contrary.)

Kendal satisfied his cravings and then Dalton lounged on the couch, since there isn't too much to do in this tiny house right now.

The next day Skylar was a walkby (or he was invited over, I can't remember), and he fell in love with Kendal. Kendal, on the other hand, is yet to cross that love threshold.

Kyle for sure was a walkby, and he and Dalton shared their first kiss ~~and then had a pillow fight out in the snow~~.

Kendal had gone to take a nap, but was interrupted as he went into labor!

Kendal: Can't you like, hold my hand or something?
Skylar: Gaming limitations. We can say I did for the narrative though.

Our firstborn of this legacy is named Leighton! He's in the running for heirship, since I don't have any strict rules on that for this legacy.

Also since this gen's roll was five kids, if ACR (or myself) decides to bless Kyle and Dalton with a baby, it'll count for this generation. Sure I have the baseline rules I'm following, but I can make some modifications.
