harmoniouspixels | Baines LEPacy 2.0 - Gen 1.9 Update

It's another edition of everyone's favorite LEPacy! (Well, maybe not everyone's favorite, but it's an enjoyable enough LEPacy.) A little light on pictures this post, but Caleb does age up to a teen at the end of this one!

We begin with Caleb and his best friend, Donnie, playing on the seesaw.

Donnie: Should we really be playing on this at night?

Caleb: Probably not, but it's The Sims 3(TM).

Donnie: That doesn't answer the question though...

Since Caleb was set to age up after the weekend was over, he had a recital on Saturday!

It went well! (FRAPS took a shit on me and didn't capture the other notification though. This update doesn't suffer from it too bad, but the next one will.

Connor finished his latest novel (which was Fantasy for once!), The Elves of Crystal Valley. It's a call back to my old TS2 neighborhood I played for several years of the same name.

Caleb made a pie in the toy oven! (The only thing he made from it during his childhood, oof.) But hey, kids have their own "waffle face" too! (I guess it would be a "pie" or "muffin" face depening on what they were making.)

And in terms of (some) chronology, here's the trophy he got from his ballet recital!

Agnes called up Connor asking if she and her son, Christian, could come over for a playdate. (Christan is her son with Hank Goddard.)

Caleb: So, uh... wanna play tag?

Christian: Sure!

Cathy could cheer up Agnes for... some reason. Not sure what happened to her tbh.

On a separate occassion (the next day I believe), Caleb and Agnes played tag after she had aged up to elder.

Caleb: Gotcha Aunt Agnes!

Agnes: My bones ache.

Caleb played with his toy box toys for the one and only time as a child before aging up the next day.

Caleb: It's really a statement on consumerism for spending all this money on toys kids don't play with, huh?

Birthday time! ~~Done to avoid going to school on this Monday morning in-game.~~

A wish on the candles and one sparkly transition later...

...we have a teenager! I couldn't figure out how to unlock CAS so he has outfits that are designated for TM in-game. (Also a bit of eyeliner to compliment the emo-ish aesthetic, but it's barely noticeable so chances are I'll modify it next time I'm in-game.)

Caleb: I now suddenly hate lots of things. I hate it.

Ignoring his pre-makeover look here, I gave Caleb the Natural Born Performer trait! (Yes I did put in Showtime to give him this now. Still weird that this trait, although named Natural Born, isn't available to your in-game sims until their teens. Who knew!) I also did it since he's more than likely going to be an Acrobat for when he ages up into YA and we set sail for Starlight Shores.

Oh, and mere moments after aging up, the Free Vacation opportunity popped up. Huh. Despite my better judgement, I went ahead and clicked yes. Hey, if I'm going back and exploring a bit more of the Generations options, why not seize the day?

That does it for this update! Next update will be very Caleb-centric, since he now has the house to himself for a few days! (Also considering the ramifications of this in real life... you leave your freshly-turned 13 year old alone for two days to go on a "free" vacation? That would be sketchy as hell IRL.)
