Welcome back to another Baines LEPacy update! Our title card has a ~little~ spoiler in it, but c'est la vie.

Oh shit it's time for a birthday!

Connor: You alright, babe?

Cathy: It's just aging, dear, nothing to stress over.

Connor: [cheering]

Cathy: [internally] But did we really have to get this cake though?

Welcome to full adulthood, Cathy!

Cathy: Thanks! I hate it.

(It should be noted, however, that Cathy did not enter a midlife crisis.)

Connor's newest book, Starships (named after the Nicki Minaj song) was a success and got him points for his opportunity! Take that, Pauline Wan!

Connor needed to start writing some more stories for his job, so he interviewed Susan Wainwright.

Susan: ...so that's the story of how I somehow gained a cult following off of an Internet forum.

Connor: Huh. That's interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Also at the park, it was Ghost Story night, apparently.

Connor went home and wrote his article about Susan...

...and I can see why she has a cult following now.

But hey, it was good enough to net Connor a promotion!

The next day, Cathy visited the Bachelors for... some reason. Charisma? An opportunity? Visiting friends she hasn't seen in a while? Probably one of those.

Jocasta: This should have text to it, but Jack can't be arsed to caption it.

Cathy: What?

Jocasta: What was that dear? You've got to speak up.

Have this picture of Malcolm taking after his mother in being Rich Bitch Supreme (also because I had to tab over to fix his outfit since it was Nasty. Now's a good time as any to mention that I am focusing solely on townies who pop up in Story Progression updates to give makeovers to, since for the sake of my sanity while playing this, it's much easy than doing the whole fucking town. If there's a townie nearby who is in need of a makeover, I do them as well, but I've done a lot fewer makeovers this save.)

Maybe it's the first time I've really paid attention to something like this ever since having a computer with a better graphics card, but this is just nasty. Is it me, or does the counter's dirty texture look like nuclear waste?

Around here I figured that Cathy should have a wardrobe upgrade to match her new #sophisticated age.

Here's the title card image! It's a good shot, and showcasing the fact I'm actually using the stroller for once! I think that's a positive side effect of me setting my toddlers in TS3 to 6 days (just one down from the default 7), but up 2 from what I used to do (which was 4. Yeah. I know. Idk why I was like "vanilla TS2 aging for toddlers in this laggy ass game? Sure! That'll work fine!")

So I have the changing table from the Store (I think I got it as part of a bundle with Generations, so I didn't have to actually shell out money for SimPoints here), but this is the first time I really used it, and noticed this moodlet! (@ EA: Did you read what you wrote? Are you happy? Are you happy with what you brought forth?)

With that, this update comes to a close! Two age ups, a promotion, and some novels that are selling well. Next update has Connor's birthday, Cathy's return to work, and some questionable babysitters (EA's trait choices will shock you).
