Welcome back to a new entry of the Baines LEPacy! Sorry for the delay; I decided to modify my posting schedule a bit last minute. Fridays will now (hopefully) be a LEPacy update, with the weekends being for Hart MMBC back ups (for now). There might be an additional LEPacy post earlier in the week, but that's still to be determined.
Oh, and the title is a bit misleading. Sure there are a lot of screenshots for the update, but most of them are of in-game prompts. With that out of the way, let's get into the update!
We start this update off strong with Cathy breaking the shower.
Cathy: [muttering] Damn thing...
More teaching Caleb his toddler skills!
Cathy: Can you say that reality TV is garbage?
Caleb: ...
Took this #crangle because there's only so many times you can photograph your sim who's an author.
Connor: Hey!
At least his books are doing well! Since it was another Sci-Fi book (since I'm going for the Specialist Writer challenge with Connor), I named it after Michael Crichton's novel, Next.

Cathy: I'm in the middle of my Zumba routine, could you not criticize my fashion.
Wholesome family moment (that has taken all my uwus)
If this were Tumblr, I'd probably just have this as a post without a caption, but this is Dreamwidth. Maybe I should just leave a picture captionless if I see fit from here on out?
Connor: Why do we have to fix things for other people? Can't they just call a repair tech?
Connor went to deliver that TV back to Beau Andrews, but Cathy had to go to work. (Didn't realize her shift changed, oops.) You know what that means!
Babysitter time!
The babysitter that spawned had some good #looks to him, although he wasn't one of the starting NPCs! I think they may have aged out of the babysitter pool. I don't remember his name off-hand, but I do remember he was Evil! What a trait for a babysitter. At least he was good with Caleb.
If I'm not mistaken, Cathy and Connor got Caleb potty trained that night! One skill down, two more to go!
If I had put a black and white filter over this, this would've looked very noir-esque. (Also for whatever reason that movie poster always gives me Casablanca vibes.)
Connor got some ~spicy~ opportunities that afternoon.
Connor: Care to let the readers know why you chose The Potty That Cried for your newest children's book?
Agnes: I don't know. I was pretty sad when I wrote it.
Connor: Aren't you always sad?
Agnes: And what of it?
Promotion! But still on the night shift. Or is this the promotion that put her on the night shift? It's been 3 days since I uploaded these pictures to Imgur, and at least 6 since I last played the save (since I haven't gotten into the habit of writing these updates when the pictures are still fresh in my mind), so idk man.
Connor's birthday!
Cathy: Couldn't you have done this before I tried sleeping for work?
...except he got a mid-life crisis, oops. Maybe it was because I had promised him to write 10 novels after he wrote Next?
Connor: I now must do everything as an impulse to feel joy in my life.
This happened somewhere amid all of that.
Cathy's scrubs finally match her color aesthetic!
Doesn't she already have enough to read with her research, Jamie?
So Cathy got home from that night's shift, and I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be fucked up if she had to go take care of an emergency as soon as she got home?" and that notification popped up the second she got into bed.
Cathy: Fuck everything, honestly.
With both of his parents at work, Caleb had another newly generated babysitter NPC! Forgot her name, but this one had the Kleptomaniac trait. I'm questioning your choices in hiring, Sunset Valley Babysitters.
Connor was also the beneficiary of an Adult lifestage makeover, but this time sponsored by his mid-life crisis!
Remember that opportunity from earlier this update? Connor finished the article and turned it into that newspaper. It chronicles the shady dealings of the Alto family in Sunset Valley. Isn't that a bit much, Connor?
Connor: [grimly] The people deserve to know the truth.
More skills for Caleb! He'll be ready to rock n' roll once he gets older (pun partially intended if he goes into the singer career in Showtime).
With the money from Cathy's promotion, and Connor's exposé, I bought them a new bed! Moving slightly up in the world.
That ends our update! Next time, Caleb will become a child and we'll get to see him in some good ol' afterschool activities! Maybe buy him a treehouse or costume chest too? We'll just have to see!
